Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how First Parenting (cheoeumyuga.com) collects, uses, and protects information in connection with your use of the Service. It also describes your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and how to exercise them.
Last updated: 2026-06-26
1. Identity and Contact Details of the Controller
The data controller responsible for the processing of your personal data is:
Kim Yongsun
Seoul, South Korea
Email: contact@cheoeumyuga.com
A Data Protection Officer (DPO) has not been appointed because this Service does not carry out large-scale, systematic monitoring of individuals or large-scale processing of special category data within the meaning of Article 37 GDPR.
2. What Data We Process and Why
First Parenting operates two distinct categories of data processing: (a) data you enter locally in your browser, and (b) data collected automatically by third-party services. Each is described below.
2a. Data You Enter (Local Storage)
When you use our parenting tools, the following information may be saved only in your own browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device and is never transmitted to our servers:
- Baby birth date
- Height and weight measurements
- Vaccine schedule records
Important — Special Category Data (GDPR Art. 9): Height, weight, and vaccine records constitute health data, which is a special category of personal data under Article 9 GDPR. Because this data is processed exclusively on your own device and is never transmitted to or accessible by the controller or any third party, the Article 9 prohibition on processing does not apply; the controller has no access to this data whatsoever.
Purpose: To allow the tools to function across sessions without
requiring you to re-enter information.
Legal basis: Not applicable — the controller does not process this
data. It remains entirely under your control on your own device.
2b. Analytics — Google Analytics 4
We use Google Analytics 4 (property ID: G-N6CZYPVNZ0) to understand how visitors use the Service. GA4 collects data such as pages visited, session duration, device and browser type, approximate geographic location (country/city level), and referral source. IP addresses are anonymised by Google before storage.
Purpose: Measuring and improving Service performance and content.
Legal basis: Your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). Analytics is activated
only after you have provided consent.
2c. Advertising — Google AdSense
We use Google AdSense (publisher ID: ca-pub-1738530342383632) to display advertisements. Google AdSense may use cookies and similar technologies to serve personalised or contextual ads based on your browsing behaviour.
Purpose: Displaying advertisements to fund the free operation of
the Service.
Legal basis: Your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). Personalised
advertising is activated only after you have provided consent.
2d. Advertising — Kakao AdFit
We use Kakao AdFit to display advertisements. Kakao AdFit may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your browsing behaviour.
Purpose: Displaying advertisements to fund the free operation of
the Service.
Legal basis: Your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)).
2e. Affiliate Links — Amazon Associates and Coupang Partners
Some content on the Service contains affiliate links to Amazon (Amazon Associates programme) and Coupang (Coupang Partners programme). When you click an affiliate link, you are transferred to the respective third-party site. Those sites operate under their own privacy policies. We may receive a commission if you make a purchase, but we do not receive any personal data about you from these programmes.
Purpose: Generating affiliate commission to fund the Service.
Legal basis: Legitimate interests (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) — the
interest in maintaining a free service through standard affiliate marketing, which
does not override your rights and freedoms because no personal data is shared with
the controller.
3. Legitimate Interests Assessment
Where we rely on legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) — specifically for affiliate link functionality — we have assessed that: (i) the interest is genuine and clearly described; (ii) the processing is necessary and proportionate; and (iii) your interests, rights, and freedoms are not overridden, because the controller receives no personal data about you through this mechanism. You may object to this processing at any time (see Section 8).
4. Recipients and Categories of Recipients
We do not sell your personal data. Data collected by third-party services is shared with those services only as described below:
- Google LLC — receives analytics and advertising data as a data processor acting on our behalf (Google Analytics 4 and Google AdSense). Google also acts as an independent data controller for its own purposes under its privacy policy.
- Kakao Corp. — receives advertising data as an independent controller (Kakao AdFit).
- Amazon.com, Inc. and Coupang Corp. — receive referral traffic via affiliate links; these parties act as independent controllers. We do not share your personal data with them.
5. International Data Transfers
Google LLC is based in the United States. When Google Analytics 4 or Google AdSense transfers personal data from the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom to the United States, Google relies on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission as the appropriate safeguard under GDPR Art. 46(2)(c).
Kakao Corp. is based in South Korea. South Korea has received an adequacy decision from the European Commission (adopted December 2021), meaning transfers to South Korea are permitted without additional safeguards under GDPR Art. 45.
You may obtain a copy of the applicable transfer safeguards by contacting us at contact@cheoeumyuga.com.
6. Retention Periods
- localStorage data (birth date, measurements, vaccine records): Stored indefinitely in your browser until you clear your browser data or uninstall the browser. The controller has no access to this data and cannot delete it on your behalf; you can delete it at any time through your browser settings.
- Google Analytics 4 data: Retained for 14 months (Google's default retention setting), after which it is automatically deleted by Google.
- Google AdSense / Kakao AdFit cookies: Governed by the respective provider's retention policies. Please refer to Google's and Kakao's privacy policies for details.
7. Cookies and Similar Technologies
The Service itself sets data in your browser's localStorage solely for the functionality described in Section 2a. Third-party services (Google Analytics, Google AdSense, Kakao AdFit) may set their own cookies and use similar tracking technologies, subject to your consent as described in Section 2. You can manage or withdraw consent at any time using our consent preference controls, and you can delete existing cookies through your browser settings.
8. Your Rights Under GDPR
Where the GDPR applies to the processing of your personal data, you have the following rights:
- Right of access (Art. 15): You have the right to obtain confirmation of whether we process personal data about you and, if so, a copy of that data.
- Right to rectification (Art. 16): You have the right to have inaccurate personal data corrected.
- Right to erasure / "right to be forgotten" (Art. 17): You have the right to request deletion of your personal data where, for example, it is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, or you withdraw consent and there is no other legal basis for processing.
- Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18): You have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your personal data in certain circumstances.
- Right to data portability (Art. 20): Where processing is based on consent or a contract and is carried out by automated means, you have the right to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.
- Right to object (Art. 21): You have the right to object at any time to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)), including for direct marketing. We will cease processing unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights, and freedoms.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at contact@cheoeumyuga.com. We will respond within one month of receiving your request. That period may be extended by a further two months where necessary, taking into account the complexity and number of requests.
Please note that for localStorage data, the controller has no technical means to access, modify, or delete it on your behalf. You must exercise control over that data directly through your browser settings.
9. Right to Withdraw Consent
Where processing is based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — specifically Google Analytics 4, Google AdSense, and Kakao AdFit — you have the right to withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
You may withdraw consent by using our consent preference controls on the Service, or by contacting us at contact@cheoeumyuga.com.
10. Right to Lodge a Complaint with a Supervisory Authority
If you believe that our processing of your personal data infringes the GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. You may do so in the EU/EEA member state of your habitual residence, place of work, or place of the alleged infringement.
A list of EU supervisory authorities is available at:
https://edpb.europa.eu/about-edpb/about-edpb/members_en
We encourage you to contact us first at contact@cheoeumyuga.com so that we have the opportunity to address your concern directly.
11. Statutory or Contractual Requirement to Provide Data
The provision of personal data is neither a statutory nor a contractual requirement, nor a requirement necessary to enter into a contract. You are under no obligation to provide any personal data to use the Service. All parenting tools function without an account or registration. If you choose not to enter data into the tools, you will simply be unable to use those tool features; no other consequence results.
12. Automated Decision-Making and Profiling
We do not carry out any automated decision-making, including profiling, as referred to in Article 22(1) and (4) GDPR that produces legal effects or similarly significantly affects you.
Third-party advertising partners (Google, Kakao) may perform their own profiling for ad targeting purposes, subject to their own privacy policies and your consent.
13. Children's Privacy
The Service is intended for use by parents and caregivers, not by children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 16. If you believe that a child has provided personal data through the Service, please contact us at contact@cheoeumyuga.com and we will take steps to delete such data.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acknowledgement of the updated policy.
15. Contact
For any questions, concerns, or requests regarding this Privacy Policy or the processing of your personal data, please contact the controller at:
